The Study of I John
|
| It has been said that no apostle, no person for that matter, was
relationally closer to Jesus than the Apostle John. In his letter to
people of the First Century who were seeking truth about God, John
pours out his heart and mind about the truth he knows first-hand
from his own personal experience with Jesus Christ. Many of the
deepest "why" questions about God, the Christian life and
human relations are answered in this short epistle. |
| John addresses why God sent Jesus to us, and why sin is such a
powerful force, but also how it can be overcome. The nature of
faith, the character of love and the essence of evil, are all topics
in this potent book of the Bible. The basis for close human
relationships, definitions of what true spirituality is, and other
important issues are samples of what will be covered in this class. |
