Prayer Team
|
| The Katrina Recovery Prayer team serves in four
specific areas: |
| 1. RESOURCE: This
Prayer team is at the hub of the Katrina Recovery Ministries. Those
needing prayer within our teams, or knowing of other prayer needs
for Katrina, have a central group they can turn to. We are a
resource to other groups who would like us to pray with them, and a
resource providing venues for corporate prayer. |
| 2. FOCUS: Keeping
current prayer needs before the congregation - youth through
seniors. As the months go by the team will help the congregation
keep current on changing needs and circumstances that require
prayer. |
| 3. CONSISTENCY: Katrina
recovery is a long-term effort, requiring sustained prayer efforts.
This team will provide venues to help our congregation stay engaged
in prayer as the months go by. |
| 4. SUPPORT: We will
support individuals who need a prayer partner either on a one time
basis, or for a longer term. We will also participate in prayer for
those currently on site in the disaster area. |
| Team members: |
- Agree to pray individually for specific needs we become aware
of them.
- Participate in corporate prayer venues.
- Participate as prayer partners for those who desire partners.
- Develop methods to help all of us stay focused, and able to
pray about Katrina Recovery needs on a sustained basis.
|
| We recognize that many, many individuals are praying
without being on this team, yet we invite you to join us as a group
so that we might encourage one another, and grow into a congregation
that is visibly and unabashedly taking everything to God in prayer! |
