hope you’ll find this site, and the church, to be
welcoming and helpful in your quest for an authentic,
growing relationship with God.
Saratoga Federated
Church is an inter-denominational church, founded as a ‘federation’
of churches who united in 1920. Our church mission is to
invite seekers into a relationship with Jesus Christ (MESSAGE),
to nurture God’s people in community toward a Christ-like
character (MATURITY), and
to equip them for effective service in the church and the
world (MINISTRY).
Toward that end, we
hope to give you and others a place to BELONG,
a place to GROW and a
place to SERVE.
In order to BELONG,
there must be relationships. We are committed to
relationships. In spirit, most people find this to be a
friendly church. More specifically, we have over 50 small
groups already in full swing, with new groups forming all
the time for adults and youth. These groups, usually meeting
at homes, foster friendship, mutual care and that sense of
belonging that we all hope for. Others make their
connections in Sunday School classes, service groups and the
natural course of friendship building. All in all, this is a
good place to find meaningful relationships and to be a part
of a family.
This is also a place
to GROW. The various small
groups study scripture, pray and stretch each other toward
maturity in Christ. Sunday school classes for all ages are
relevant and vibrant. The preaching during worship is always
biblical and, I hope, quite helpful to anyone who wants to
be a "doer of the word, not a hearer only." We

another to grow up in Christ and to exercise a faith that
is rich in spiritual depth and practical knowledge
And this is a place
to SERVE. Hundreds of
people serve the growing needs of the church family,
offering care, nurture and growth opportunities to our
family of faith. But many also serve beyond the family. We
see the church as a launching pad to the world and the
community. Many ministries have been born from the
good-hearted prayers of people who have told God "yes,
I’ll go." From downtown San Jose to Albania and
Romania, we have people putting their faith into practice in
life-altering ways. Our church has a strong presence in
Saratoga, San Jose and faraway countries. We try to bring
the compassion of Christ and the good news of the gospel to
needy people wherever God might send us. The Bible teaches
us that "we are God’s workmanship created for good
works in Christ." A growing faith is not an end in
itself. It must find expression in meaningful service.
Those are the hopes
that drive us. You should also know that we have fun,
impacting youth ministries. Our children are loved and
taught well in a safe, enthusiastic environment. Our four
Sunday services have distinctive flavors as we use different
musical styles to engage one another in meaningful worship.
Our seniors are active and involved. WE’RE
NOT A PERFECT CHURCH! BUT WE LOVE WHAT GOD IS DOING IN OUR
LIVES!
