Study Questions for Life Groups
All sermon Study Questions can now be found on the Teaching page and the Sermon Archive.
Join us this Lent as we take a look at the "Founding Fathers" of our faith. We'll be looking at Abraham, Sarah, Hagar; Ishmael, Isaac and Rebekah; Jacob and Esau; Judah and Tamar; Joseph; and Moses. Each of them has an encounter with God, and each of them is imperfect, exhibiting all-too-human characteristics. When we read their stories, it can be easy for us to “spiritualize” their lives and their decisions. This study will be trying to do the opposite – to humanize them and their struggles. While it can be tempting to elevate them to something approaching sainthood, we need to remember they were human, ordinary men and women chosen by God for extraordinary things. When we spiritualize them, we can lose sight that God uses ordinary men and women...like us...to bring into reality his redemptive plan.

About Life Groups
LIfe Groups offer a wonderful way to practice Life in God, Life with Others, and Life for Others. They encourage a deeper relationship with God through Bible study and discussion. They promote meaningful interactions with other believers by developing friendships.
Life in God grounds our very being in our creator and redeemer.
Out of the overflow of life in God and our desire to follow his commandments, we engage in Life with Others through Life Groups.
Life Groups make serving others a joy! We pray that EACH person who calls Saratoga Federated Church their home will be part of a Life Group.

Jesus tells us the greatest commandment is to:
