Medical Mission to Ethiopia
|

Three members of the SFC congregation are going on a
short-term medical missions trip to Ethiopia: Phil &
Siggie Stillman and Phil Strong. They are leaving on
October 26, 2007 and will return on November 12, 2007.
They are going as part of a team of twelve from several
churches, including Menlo
Park Presbyterian Church.

| The team will be doing
mobile clinics as outreach for an evangelical group
named Project Mercy, a group which has been actively
engaged in community development in rural Ethiopia for
more than 10 years. In the Yetebon (near Butajira) they
operate a school with >1,000 students, a model farm,
and a hospital, opened there 3 years ago. This is the
same group Phil Strong (and several other team members)
visited last year. |
| Please pray for us: that
we can provide good service to Project Mercy, to the
patients we will be treating; and for our families who
have stayed behind. |
