Tim
and Katie Cole have been involved with Family Focus Japan, the
Japanese "arm" of the ministry of Focus on the Family,
since they organized its inception in 1994. Tim was needed to
coordinate this flourishing ministry and lead it into a higher level
of vision and visibility in Japan. Family issues are the most
strategic gateway to the Gospel in Japan today. Previously closed
doors to schools, hospitals, civic groups, governmental
organizations, and even Buddhist associations are being opened
through the medium of education on family issues. Family Focus Japan
is a ministry of TEAM Japan. In addition to teaching and preaching
when these opportunities present themselves, this ministry is also
involved in publishing books, videos, tapes and pertinent
information on family issues. The "90-second Commentary"
broadcast by Dr. James Dobson is being translated and broadcast in
Nagano prefecture as well as in Okinawa and Hokkaido. The Coles feel
like their only limitations are time and finances. The doors are
wide open for reaching Japanese people for Christ through ministry
related to family issues.
