Guatemala Bible Seminary

Guatemala Bible Seminary (GBS) is a training school that offers multiple levels of Biblical and theological study, and pastoral preparation with the heart of the curriculum being the Bible. The seminary's main purpose is to train men and women who have dedicated their lives to Christian ministry for the pastorate, evangelism, and Christian education. Alumni serve in many countries around the world. They work as pastors, lay pastors and teachers. Some serve in administrative positions in church organizations and others in evangelistic ministries.

GBS is located in Chimaltenango, which is about 30 miles from the Capital, Guatemala City. The seminary sits at an elevation of 6000 ft., and is surrounded by mountains and volcanoes. While Guatemala City has a population of 3,000,000. Chimaltenango is home to about 50,000.

GBS is a non-profit organization and was founded in 1923 by Cameron Townsend, former CAM missionary and founder of Wycliffe Bible Translators.
