 After
living in Budapest Hungary for 8 1/2 years the Lord called the
Kahre's back to the United States to help give leadership to Campus
Crusade staff desiring to move overseas long-term. The purpose of
their position is to prepare and shepherd staff before they depart,
help them develop spiritually and professionally while they live
overseas, and assist with the reintegration process once they return
to the states. Dave and Cindy work with staff who live in six
different areas around the world.
When asked, What compels you to give
your life to ministering in light of other options you may have had
regarding career and where to live? Dave answered,
"Regardless of what we do, we need to be in the middle of God's
will for our personal lives. Cindy and I believe the Lord has called
us to the privilege of doing what we do. We know that the Lord does
not call everyone in the same way He has called us. But, whatever He
calls a person to, they should be committed to being the best at
what it is (letter carrier, lawyer, teacher, stay at home Mom, stay
at home Dad, firefighter, professional athlete, etc.) for His glory.
We really do count it a privilege to be on Staff with Campus Crusade
for Christ. We do this, because there are people lost without Christ
and they deserve to hear. And, we want to raise up laborers to go to
the world, win people to Christ, build them in their faith, train
them and then send them to the world to do the same."
