Health Ministry

The history of the Church down through the centuries is filled with examples of concern and care for those who are ill. Individual acts of kindness as well as the founding of religious orders and establishment of hospitals mark every century. Today churches are reclaiming their right to promote health and healing. They are helping people to focus on wellness and disease prevention, move from physician-dependent to patient involved health care, and to a whole-person (body, mind, and spirit) approach to health.
