Self-Care and Mutual-Care in the Virus Crisis
March 30, 2020
When life is difficult, we are compelled to grow, find courage, accept change, learn new skills, and relate to God in fresh ways.
When trials afflict our entire community, we are required to nourish existing relationships and serve new ones.
Today, we all are experiencing this reality. Our church excels at mutual care and love for our neighbors. This virus crisis is now asking us to also feature active self-care. This guide is provided to aid your practice of self-care and mutual-care.

Contact the SFC Care Ministry
Our team can be reached by email to care@saratogafederated.org or by calling (408) 867-1000, extension 239. Care need and prayer requests can also be submitted online. Our after hours care crisis line can be reached by selecting "1" after calling our main number. To reach a specific Care Team member, go to Care Staff.
As you know, our campus is closed as we shelter-in-place. While working from home we retrieve messages each day, Monday through Friday. Our five part-time team members each own one day and will retrieve messages from the Care Ministry extension in the morning and afternoon. These will receive attention in keeping with triage priorities.
Pastoral care and counseling is being offered by phone during this season. Please submit requests through our team email or the online form.
