A team of Care Deacons oversee the many facets of the Care Ministry, including visits to hospitals and homes, personal calls and cards, memorial service and grief after-care, support groups for job seekers or Alzheimer care providers, AA and addiction recovery support groups and referral, and prayer ministries. We are always seeking to improve our care of members' needs. During this season, as you reflect on the quality of your life and the health of your relationships, please consider your need for our ministry of care. We are shepherded by Pastor Arvin Engleson and supported by our care team. We hope you will feel free to contact the team with any concerns you or your family might have. If you are drawn to the work we do, we will find a place for your unique contribution.
We believe that when we experience grief we enter into a time of great potential for personal growth. These crises can become dangerous opportunities for us to receive comfort and encouragement as we step into new understandings and faith. Each one's journey through the Valley of the Shadow is unique. The journey is best when made with others.Early Bereavement CareGrief Ministers accompany the pastor when he meets with the family, represent the church in hosting the funeral/memorial service, coordinate the involvement of other parishioners for family meals, home watch, greeters/ushers, reception team, etc.. (Led by a Care Deacon.)
