About Life Groups
Life Groups offer a wonderful way to practice Life in God, Life with Others and Life for Others. They encourage a deeper relationship with God through Bible study and discussion. They promote meaningful interactions with other believers by developing friendships.
Life in God grounds our very being in our creator and redeemer.
Out of the overflow of life in God and our desire to follow his commandments, we engage in Life with Others through Life Groups.
Life Groups make serving others a joy! We pray that EACH person who calls Saratoga Federated Church their home will be part of a Life Group.

Jesus tells us the greatest commandment is to:
“Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind. This is the first and greatest commandment. And a second is like it: You shall love your neighbor as yourself.”
New Year's Prayer Retreat
This half-day retreat gave us time to take stock of where we have been and where we are going. Led by Barb Clark, CJ Clark, Linda Connors, Russ and Linda Ikeda, Savoy Stevens, Ruth Peterson and Sally Bryant, we “remembered” God’s goodness and faithfulness, and “re-member” the various parts of our lives into God’s wholeness.

Chasing David: Finding Hope and Courage on the Trail of Israel’s Greatest King, written by Rene Schlaepfer of Twin Lakes Church is popular with many of our Life Groups! This study looks beyond the life of the legend, King David, to explore the real story of the real man. Understanding the story of David helps us understand the entire Bible. This is an 8-week series in 1 & 2 Samuel and includes small group lessons featuring videos filmed on location in Israel and daily video devotionals to start your day.
Lenten Life Group Study will be available at the Lent Soup Supper on February 27th. It follows Sean’s sermon series and offers an opportunity to spend some more time with the text. We will take a deeper look at one of our favorite psalm (Psalm 23) and see how the truth of this psalm is expressed in recorded interactions with Jesus. As we look at the questions Jesus asked, we are invited into a new paradigm, a new way of being in relationship with the Creator of the world, the Sustainer of Life, and the Giver of all comfort.
